Mission of The Chopin Society of New York is to:

Promote Chopin's music and the music of other Polish composers as well as classical music in general within the New York tri-state area in an easily accessible manner.

Support and develop amateur pianists in an effort to have them grow musically in a complementary fashion to their professional and personal lives. Support young professional pianists from around the world in their career development.

Integrate society of musicians and wide range of other artists by organizing competitions among pianists and other musicians, as well as by organizing recurring gatherings of The Chopin Society.

Examples of our programs and activities include:

  • Concerts of high artistic caliber at reasonable prices to the audience, with significant discounts to our members
  • International piano competition for professionals and amateurs and special recitals for the winners
  • Gala events for members to interact with artists and fellow music lovers
  • Access to some of the world’s best piano teachers via master class programs
  • Educational concerts devoted primarily to younger audiences
  • Music festivals, highlighted by a 2010 Chopin Festival commemorating the 200th anniversary of Chopin’s birth, featuring piano, chamber music, and orchestra
  • Musical-exchange and scholarship programs

As a new organization, we are in need of members, funds, and sponsors to help realize our goals. By joining our membership, you will have the exciting opportunity to help us launch our programs and experience extraordinary music on many levels. You will also have the opportunity to make new friendships and perhaps rekindle some old ones.
